The Process: Making Your Site Stickey Beyond the Domain Name?
The Domain Name is only the first step in attracting visitors. In addition to the domain name, it is necesary to within just a few words, a few seconds of looking, being able to quickly say what it is that the site does. After reviewing the competition, it became apparent that although there are many sites that will help you build a webstie, there are very few top sites that teach people how to build a web based business. So, building on that, the tag line uses the keyword "How to Make a Website" to include the word "Successful." The Headline The headline comes next. This can pose the biggest challenge you will face at the beginning of your web site building. This is ok. It can always be changed. What you see here is the result of over 30 changes. Another Caution:Never ever put the words Under C (and the word that spells what is done when something is being built) The combo of those two words are like buzz kill to spiders. They taste so bad, that the spiders go back and warn all the other internet spiders never to go to that site, ever again. Oh, eventually they will go, but why scare them off at all? Just start building and when your site is up and running, then they will visit more often. In the mean time, you will not have scared them off. What About This Column?
Why did Ringling Brothers become so popular with thier three ring cicus? It was more that that there was somehting for everybody. It has to do with the way our brains are hard wired. We are programed to look for and think in threes. Although the third column will not appeal to everyone, it can appeal to most, if done right. After all, you are reading this right now so it must work, well, at least on you.
