A website building class are taught at Northampton Community College. It is 10 weeks and lasts about 1.5 - 3 hours per class.

I also teach locally if enough people sign up. The only requirement is a laptop computer that will work in an internet cafe.

The Course

The course consists of defining a niche and developing a concept that fits what people are actually looking for. This is based on computer science and not guess work. Students will be taught how to deep mine research what people are looking for and identify concepts that have the potential for website building success.

Next, the creation process. Creating a domain name, creating a site concept, creating the individual pages and more. This is the part that attracts and makes the visitors want to come back.

How do you get the click. Getting traffic is an essential part of a successful website business. Learn the same principles that have propelled thousands of others to the top of the search engine rankings. One word of caution here. The fancy sites are in the dust of plane Jane sites that have lots of content. If you do it right, you may not win a beauty award but you will get lots of warm, hungry visitors.

The concept of pre-selling is taught next as you learn how to build confidence in you, your site, your information and ultimately your product or service. Get this right and you will enhance your success in anything you do.

The last thing you will do is Cash In or convert your visitors. The reason this is last is that if you want to get into the web, your destined to fail. If you want to build a business, your success will take time. Some have seen success in months. Many a year. Some a few years.
