Help. Someone Stole My Entire Webstite
One of the biggest internet copyright issues is having a web page you authored plagiarized. Plagiarism is a legal term to describe the act of someone stealing. My Internet Copyright Issue: Theft of My Entire Site Copyright is a very basic concept for most people. Violating a copyright is a form of stealing. For most people, having something stolen results in a sucker punch in the gut feeling. Your car, a piece of jewelry, you wallet, or any other possession being taken is a personal violation. The feeling of helplessness to do anything about it compounds the feeling of violation. For many, the feeling of just having a single page plagiarized could result in the same feelings. It was not this way for me. First having my site stolen meant that it had value. Wow, to think that it would be good enough to have someone steal it. Internet Copyright Law Education Opportunity Second it was an educational opportunity. I did not know what I did not know about this new situation starting me down. What was done right? What was done wrong? What had to be done and what could be done? Adventures in Cyberspace For me, this was another adventure to add to my many. Actually it is right up with sneaking onto the Rudolph Leonard, an East German fishing trawler that illegally came into port because of taking on water. Sneaking is not accurate. I just pretended to be someone important and the National Guard escorted me past a couple of check points where I got to go on board. A friend and his dad were scuba diving to do a repair on the screw, the shaft that holds on the propeller. I wanted to watch. Not much to see from above so, I got on the ship. Ended up making friends with the third mate. Even helped remove a bearing that had frozen on a shaft and they could not get off. It did not seem an adventure at the time but looking back and knowing the politics and policy that I had broken, well, it was a rush to say the least. Now, I can have the same rush only from the safety (or lack there of) and comfort of my computer. Next: When You’re Plagiarized you can do like I did. Read my story and learn what steps you can take.
