In 2006 Forester predicted the podcasting trend. They said that 12.3 million would be downloading podcasts by 2010. Did they get it right?
Looking at just one market segment and industry leader, Wizzard Media, it would seem that they were way off the mark.
According to Wizzard, they alone received more than 1.2 billion download requests in 2008. They host more than 17,000 podcast creators. Even Nielsen / NetRatings is independently reporting and verifying the numbers.
What does this mean for you. Well, if your good enough, intrepid and are willing to stick with it, you may just be able to carve out a space for yourself on the world wide web.
So, in general, podcasting on its own is a trend.
One big podcasting trend of all the podcasting trends in the podcast topics is education podcasting or educational podcasting.
